Galleria fotografica - Kolmanskop Ghost Town
This old abandoned mining town is the perfect matching point between Nature forces and anthropization. Nature is likely hitting back at humans on a quest for reappropriating of its own land. Sand daily blows through the broken windows settling where once there were classrooms, offices, bedrooms and so forth. It fills up the space creating a surreal environment where sometimes you can barely crawl through. Despite being home of a few poisonous snakes (mostly active during summer), the whole town is a photographer's playground, and well worths the long, straight, boring road to reach it. Every subject, every story, every photograph here is relayed to colors, contrasts, lines and shapes, lights and shades, turning the whole thing into a perfect painting.
